Westfields pulled off their 3rd consecutive Hellenic league win of the new season to hoist them up to 2nd in the early League Table when they beat visiting Tuffley Rovers 4-0 with a comprehensive performance at a sun drenched allpay.park on Saturday Westfields were in confident mood and took an early lead when in the 13 minute Westfields skipper Steve Davies got free on the right and sent in an early cross which was deflected into his own net by Tuffley Rovers defender Ashley Davies to put Westfields 1-0 ahead.

Westfields wasted a number of good opportunities to have increase the lead as both Stoneman and Muirhead created openings.

At the other end new signing Andy Lewis looked comfortable at the heart of the Westfields defence as Westfields went in at the break 1-0 ahead After the break Westfields tore visiting Tuffley to pieces as Matt Mac Donald helped himself to a second half hat trick beginning in the 50th minute when Dan Stoneman put over a pin point cross and MacDonald raced in to score with a powerful header to put Westfields 2-0 ahead. Stoneman was causing havoc on the right hand side and five minutes later the same combination saw MacDonald again beat the Tuffley keeper with a close range finish.

Westfields were comfortable  at 3-0 but Jack Oxenham in the Westfields Goal had to be alert to stop a low Tuffley shot with his legs before Westfields went  4-0 ahead as Man of the match Matt MacDonald grabbed his hat trick with anther header to put Westfields into a commanding lead on the hour.

Westfields introduced substitutes Harrison Summers, Kyle Cassell, Harry Pitman and Teddy Mee and further goals should have come as Mee and Summers both had great opportunities to extend the Westfields lead.

However the visitors keeper produced a couple of smart saves but Westfields 4-0 win was enough to hoist them up to 2nd spot in the league table.

Westfields now visit Slimbridge in the league on Friday night then return to allpay.park on Tuesday  12September for the visit of Worcester City in the first round  of the Hellenic League Floodlite Cup Kick off 7-45 pm
