The Current Westfields Hereford Premier Team was put together in the July 2015 by Paul Boulton and Nobby McBride a former player and Junior section coach of the club.
They put together a team of 16 – 20 year old novice players to compete in the HFA County Premier men’s league and found the first season of 2015-2016 very difficult, finishing 2nd from bottom with a record of:
Played 22 / Won 4 / Drew 2 / Lost 16 and a points total of 14
The following season Nobby McBride left the club and left the team affairs to Paul and player Coach Ellis Davey.

We decided we needed to bring in some hungry fresh players who wanted to play for the club and try to progress up towards the first team squad, players like Ollie Smith, Lewis Quinsey and two young lads from Tenbury in Sam Taylor and Tommy Ferguson, along with a talented centre midfield player from Bromyard in Louie Simon, but I also needed some strong characters in the dressing room to help the younger players develop so I brought back players like Zak Farnell, Taylor Barnfield and Joel Cassidy, players that had come through the junior section of the club and new what it meant to wear the shirt and importantly to bring a social side to the team to help the younger players develop both on and off the pitch, a team spirit that has become synonymous with our team over the past 4-5 years.

We also had a lad that had moved down from Manchester and was looking to join a team on Saturday’s, he has gone on to be our inspirational Captain putting in solid performances week in week out, Joe Williamson who has gone on to be named players player of the year 3 times out of the last 4 years.

In our second season 2016/2017 we finished 4th in the league with a record of:

Played 24 / Won 13 / Drew 3 / Lost 8 and a point’s total of 42 a great turnaround from the first season.

The team evolved again over the next season, 2017/2018 and players from a higher level decided to drop down to play for us knowing that we were playing attractive football with fantastic pace and some amazing goals scored, players like Zac Sirrell, Shane Moon and Ash Nelder came to us from Lad’s Club first team, Ben Thomas joined us from Wellington’s first team the same season and combined with the younger players from the previous seasons now starting to get to grips with men’s football, we had, in my opinion the best team in the league.

The home record that season was amazing:

Played 13 / Won 12 /Drew 1 a record to go unbeaten at home that I believe has not been beaten by any team in the top division of Hereford football.

We lost the league title on Goal Difference that season to Wellington we needed to win our last 7 games to take the title by 2 points but drew away to Kington town on the penultimate match to just come up short, but the effort that season was just amazing from the team.

2017/18 record:    Played 26 / Won 18 / Drew 4 / Lost 4

The following season we continued our home form and combined with the previous season we went unbeaten at home for a total of 24 games, but struggled with our away form and this led to us finishing 3rd in the league

2018/2019 record:    Played 24 / Won 13 / Drew 4 / Lost 7

This season we have a renewed belief that we have a strong squad once again and currently we are into the Semi-final of the HFA Charity Bowl to play on March 14th and currently we stand 4th in the league after 10 games, sitting 4 points of the leaders who we have to play home and away yet this year.
