AFC Wulfrunians 4 – Webb, Lawley, Tucker, Walker

Westfields were well beaten in their home FA Vase 1st Round Qualifying tie on Saturday when old rivals AFC Wulfrunians cruised to a 4-0 victory over a 9 man Westfields side as second half substitutes Cam Davies and Ben Brooks received their marching orders to add to Westfields disappointing display.

It was Westfields second cup exit in the space of 5 days and Westfields have only themselves to blame as they missed several good chances in the first half when Cawley Cox and Brandon Jennings had chances then right on half time the visitors snatched the lead when Jake Webb fired home a 20 yard free kick to give AFC Wulfrunians a 1-0 interval lead.

After the break the Wolverhampton visitors increased their lead through Brad Lawley then as Westfields failed to mark tight at a corner Craig Tucker headed home unchallenged to put the visitors 3-0 ahead.

Westfields then lost substitute Cam Davies with a second yellow card then to add to Westfields unhappy afternoon Ben Brooks was sent off for a reckless Challenge on the AFCWulfrunians fullback.

Westfields were then 4-0 down when Nathan Walker added a 4th goal from the penalty spot after a foul in the Westfields penalty area as Westfields failed to contain the lively visitors who go through to the next round of the FA Vase with a Home Tie v Coventry United.

This week Westfields play 2 away league games when they visit Hereford Pegasus on Monday and Lydney Town on Friday both Hellenic League Premier Division games.
