Westfields ended Roman Glass St George’s home record when they produced a brilliant away performance to end the Hellenic League title chasers unbeaten home record and give themselves a 5th league game without defeat.

Westfields got off to a great start when Zac Powell put them ahead with only 3 minutes on the clock, but the big home side hit back to take a 2-1 interval lead but after the break Cawley Cox levelled for Westfields and then Dan Stoneman added a third goal to level an earlier Roman Glass second half goal.

In a ding dong battle Zac Powell put Westfields 4-3 ahead before man of the match Cawley Cox put Westfields 5-3 ahead as the home side struggled to cope with Westfields free scoring attack.

Then deep in injury time Archie Muirhead helped himself to a 6th Westfields goal that left Roman Glass St George in shock after being cracked open 5 times in a blistering second half performance by Westfields’ swift moving attack.

In recent weeks free scoring Westfields have hit 11 goals at Brimscombe and Thrupp , 8 goals at Worcester United And now 6 at Roman Glass St George.

Next Saturday Westfields are without a game as Thornbury Town who we were due to play are engaged in a 2nd Round FA Vase Fixture.
