Westfields gave another non stop hard working performance last night but were beaten 3-2 away at Lydney Town.

Lydney scored against the run of play in the 27th minute through Jarred Liddington  but Westfields pulled level through a header from Flo Vucaj only for Liddington to restore Lydney’s lead with a shot from 20 yards.

Right on half time Lydney got a 3rd goal through Lucas Vaughan who beat the off side trap to beat Jack Oxenham with a rising drive to give the Forresters a 3-1 lead.

After the break Westfields pulled back an early goal through Archie Muirhead and went on to dominate long periods of the second half without grabbing a deserved equaliser.

This Saturday Westfields are at home to Thornbury Town in the Hellenic League Premier Division Kick off 3pm at allpay.park.
