Westfields FC are delighted to announce the signing of defender Andy Lewis!

We spoke to manager Phil Glover on Andy’s arrival and what he brings to the squad!

‘With the injuries and Suspensions we have atm we needed to act fast and bring a defender in.

The fact that a defender of “Swans” ability and experience was available was ideal and ticked all the boxes. He has played Southern league all his career with the likes of  Merthyr, Yate, Cirencester, Shortwood, Cinderford and Evesham Utd!’

‘He is a big lad ,a natural leader and is a composed defender who is really comfortable with the ball at he feet, that will suit the way we like to play. He has been around the team at the weekend and already knows a few of the lads from playing with them in the southern league.’

‘There were clubs at step 3 & 4 after his signature so it’s really positive for the club we have him on board.’
