We are back on the road this Saturday as we make the journey to Gloucestershire as we take on Longlevens AFC with a 3pm kick off at Sawmills End, postcode GL4 3DG.
We remain unbeaten in 2024 after our 1-1 draw with fellow city side, Hereford Pegasus watched in front of 301 spectators. We opened the scoring thanks to Oli Barnes on 16 minutes to bag his 13 goal of the season. But the hosts responded just before half time as former #Fields player, Cawley Cox equalised.
Both teams had to defend well in the 2nd period albeit the woodwork and bar prevented #Fields from retaking the lead, so both sides had to settle for a point.
Longlevens AFC last recorded a win on January 27th at home to inform Fairford Town, Saturdayโs hosts currently sit 16th in the Uhlsport Hellenic Premier League having played 25 games and have gained 27 points. Their top goal scorer so far is Martin Bradley whoโs bagged 8 goals in 19 appearances thus far this season before a bad double leg break put an end to his season.(we wish Brad well in his recovery)
The last encounter between the two sides was back in August in which #Fields ran out 3-2 winners thanks to goals from, Oli Barnes x2 and former #Fields player Harry Pitman.
The postcode for Saturdayโs game is, Sawmills End, GL4 3DG. We look forward to seeing our supporters at the game on Saturday! Come on Fields!
