MATCH REPORT | Fields secure 4-1 pre season victory at Newent Town

Fields made it two wins from three pre season games, with a 4-1 victory over Hellenic League Division One side Newent Town.

Newent, who made a number of new signings this week, started brightly, with Sterry in goal forced to make a couple of decent saves.

Fields then started to impose themselves on the game and eventually got their reward with a goal from Cameron Keetch.

This was relatively short lived though, with the hosts equalising from close range before half time.

In the second half, Fields ramped things up and much of the game was played in the Newent half.

Captain Brandon Jennings superb free kick put Fields back ahead, before a brilliant finish from Harrison Summers made it 3-1. Archie Muirhead then smashed home a fourth to give Fields a comfortable victory.

With a few players unavailable, the management team of Lee Kendall, Nick Morgan and Scott Russell will no doubt be impressed with the result and performance levels from the players.

Next up for the first team is a home friendly against Malvern Town on Tuesday evening. 7.45pm kick off.
