Westfields FC are delighted to announce that Kane Kahaki, Sam Gwynne and Chris Paulat-Brigg have all signed for the club!
A huge boost to Phil Glovers side as they have all signed on the day of the opening game of the season as three players have all committed for the new campaign with our club! Those who have supported the club for many years will remember both Kane Kahaki and Sam Gwynne have been at the club previously and have enjoyed a large portion of their careers at the club!
Goalkeeper and newcomer Chris Paulat-Brigg has been with us throughout pre season and has shown a real character and decent performances when he has been between the sticks. We spoke to manager Phil Glover on Kane & Samโs return and Chrisโs arrival to AllPayย Parkโฆ.
โKane – Made up to have Kane back involved with the squad, he is as tough as they come an outstanding defender, who adds even more steel to our back line, Every side needs characters and Kane is Certainly one of them.ย One that I know will run through brick walls for us.
โSam Gwyne – To have Sam back with us really is a a massive positive for the whole club, He was my captain during my 1st season as manager here, so someone I know I can fully trust. Sam has football league experience, which is plain to see with his performances.
You will struggle to find a better fullback at our step or the step aboveโ
โChris – Chris has been on our radar for while and has impressed us during pre season, he has all the attributes we are looking for in a keeper.
He has settled into the group really well.
He will add proper competition with Matt and Jack for the number 1 spot which can only be healthy for us as a group The band is well and truly back together. With maybe another member rejoining soon ๐โ
We also spoke to newcomer and goalkeeper Chris on his arrival and his background in football!
โ I Started out as a schoolboy for Burnley until 16 then signed as a scholar for Leeds. Trialled at Blackburn Rovers before going to Exeter Uni to play. After graduating took time out to work for the bundesliga on the VAR and goal line tech before joining the RAF. Whilst in the RAF returned to playing and signed for Woking. Since played for Camberley town before going up to Scotland last year hence another break in the game. Back playing and in the RAF Senior Rep team and UKAF Football. Iโve previously played for Woking FC and Camberley Town FC so I know what itโs like to play for big clubs, I canโt wait to get startedโ
Massive welcome back to Kane & Sam and a warm welcome to goalkeeper Chris!โ
