Westfields 3 – Summers, Greaves, Iddles
Bristol Manor Farm 3 – Valman, Bond, Lucas

Westfields played their second home pre-season friendly of the season when they welcomed Southern League South & West side Bristol Manor Farm and served up a 3-3 draw in sweltering heat at allpay.park on Saturday.

Westfields welcomed back strikers Richard Greaves and Aidan Thomas who were missing from the 3-1 defeat against Hereford FC in midweek and these 2 strikers made an immediate impact.

After a near goal-less first half, the visitors snatched the lead when Ben Valman put the Bristol-based side 1-0 ahead before the break but immediately after the interval Westfields hit back when new signing Harrison Summers scored his first goal in Westfields colours to put the sides level in the 48th minute.

Westfields then went in front on the 66th minute when Richard Greaves brilliantly headed home a free kick from the left.

Westfields then increased their lead with a tremendous goal from new signing Harrison Iddles who curled a shot into the top left-hand corner in the 70th minute to put Westfields into a 3-1 lead.

However, the Bristol side came storming back and reduced the score-line in the 82nd minute when Jamie Bond made it 3-2 from close range and then in the dying minutes Harry Lucas popped up to score the equaliser after the Bristol-based team had been given a free kick on the edge of the Westfields penalty area.

Westfields now look forward to their home match on Thursday v Pegasus Juniors in the Dennis Hartland Memorial Trophy which kicks off at 7.45pm.

The following Tuesday, 27th July, Westfields play their final home pre-season friendly when they entertain Bewdley Town, kick-off 7.45pm, at allpay.park.
