Recap

Thornbury Town 3 – Fowler 3
Westfields 2 – Stoneman, Hillier

Westfields poor away form continued when they failed disappointingly in their last Away game of the season with a 3-2 away defeat at Thornbury Town who leap frogged them in the league table with their home win in front of their best gate of the season 302.

Westfields had beaten the Bristol based side 4-0 at allpay.park earlier in the season but Thornbury were full of effort to avenge their away defeat.

Dan Stoneman put Westfields 1-0 ahead early on with a tremendous free kick from 20 yards only for Thornbury to immediately pull back an equaliser after poor defending allowed Will Fowler a chance to pull the home side level.

Fowler then put Thornbury into 2-1 lead again after Westfields had failed to clear their lines.

Westfields brought on their substitutes in the second half and Ryan Hillier put Westfields level from a Stoneman cross and give Westfields the equaliser.

However Thornbury kept working and Fowler grabbed his hat trick again after poor defending by Westfields when he was left with an easy chance from six yards after Westfields failed to clear a Thornbury cross as Fowler got an easy chance from 6 yards.

Westfields were left with little time to hit back and ended their away fixtures with a disappointing defeat.
