Westfields suffered a late disappointment on Saturday when they went down 1-0 to a late goal in added time to host club Slimbridge.

Both sides had struggled to gain the upper hand as both goalkeepers had produced second half saves to keep the score line blank when substitute Will Hawks pounced to score the match winner with a great finish in the 11th minute of added time.

Earlier both sides had struggled to break down solid defences although Ben Brookes did go close with a snap shot in the first half.

After the break Shay Sterry twice saved well in the Westfields goal while at the other end Slimbridge Keeper Travis Wood made a double save to deny Zac Powell and Ryan Hillier.

With the game petering out for a goalless Draw Slimbridge took the points with a clinical   finish from Will Hawes deep into injury time.

Next Saturday Westfields are at home to Lydney Town Kick off 3pm at allpay.park.
