Westfields hit Kington for Six

Westfields the record holders at winning the Herefordshire County Senior Challenge Cup started their attempt to regain the trophy when they travelled to Kington Town and recorded a fine 6-0 away win last night.

Westfields fielded a very young side and they gave a hardworking display throughout the 90 minutes.

Westfields may well have got double figures but for a superb performance by Kington Town keeper Ben Davies who made a string of fine saves throughout the game.

Westfields raced into a 4-0 half time lead with goals from Josh Hunt (2) Harrison Summers and an own goal After the break youngsters Cawley Cox and Harrison Summers added further goals for Westfields and Ben Davies in the Kington goal prevented further goals with a 5 Star display.

Kington were given few goal scoring opportunities as Westfields skipper Paul Hurrell marshalled the visitors defence throughout the game.
