Recap

Cirencester Town 2 – Gabriel 2

Westfields 2 – Stoneman, Jennings

Westfields produced a superb second half performance in last nights Wiseman Floodlit Cup Final 1st Leg when they came from being 2-0 down to force a 2-2 Away draw at Cirencester Town and set up a great second leg Final at allpay.park next Tuesday kick off 7-45 pm at allpay.park.

Westfields found Cirencester Town in lively form and teenage keeper Shay Sterry produced 2 brilliant saves to deny the home side before he was injured making a brave save at the feet of a Cirencester striker and had to come off and be replaced by Keiron Blackburn.

Blackburn found himself beaten in the 38th and 43rd minutes as Cirencester raced into a 2-0 lead before Dan Stoneman pulled a goal back with a shot which was deflected by a home defender into his own net to reduce the score line before the break.

After the interval Westfields got off to a good start and after a couple of half chances they deserved to get an equaliser when Brandon Jennings headed home a Dan Stoneman free kick to put the sides level.

Westfields were on top now and Zac Powell and Dan Stoneman both went close to putting Westfields ahead as the Cirencester goal was under constant attack.

Both defences were strong as they ran out 2-2 and setup a typically exciting second leg of the Wiseman Cup Kick off 7-45pm next Tuesday at allpay Park.
