YOUNG SUBSTITUTES GAIN A WIN

Westfields recorded a fine 4-0 away win at Chipping Sodbury on Saturday to return to form, after 3 disappointing results previously, when they gained valuable league points to keep them on track with the league leaders.

The game was changed in the second half when teenage substitutes Cawley Cox and Harrison Summers both came onto the pitch and scored second-half goals to give Westfields a convincing victory.

In the first half, a Jamie Bird free kick had put Westfields ahead in the 40th minute when he whipped in a cross from the left-hand side into the top corner of the net to give Westfields an interval lead.

After the break, manager Phil Glover put youngsters Cawley Cox and Harrison Summers onto the pitch and their presence had an immediate effect when Cox scored in the 70th and 73rd minute to give Westfields a 3-0 lead, and then Harrison Summers added a 4th goal to give them a convincing win at Chipping Sodbury.

Westfields now are at home on Saturday to Shrivenham, kick-off 3pm at allpay.park.
